Eyes

Eyes
USA
Hard rock, AOR

Ex-Burning Rome guitarist Steve Dougherty's AOR act Eyes was previously known as L.A. Rocks prior to the recording of a 1989 demo tape. Dougherty himself previously put down guitar on Berlin's smash 1986 album 'Count Three & Pray'.
L.A. Rocks became Eyes in 1988, leaving the door open for ex-Panther, Yngwie Malmsteen and Kuni vocalist Jeff Scott Soto (a former L.A. Rocks front man) to make a return. Eyes recorded an impressive demo tape that also found ex-Ratt and Rough Cutt bassist Matt Thorr involved. Keyboards, at that point, were courtesy of former Berlin man Todd Jasmin.

McAuley Schenker Group

McAuley Schenker Group
UK
Hard rock, glam metal, AOR

McAuley Schenker Group was a multi-national band featuring core members Robin McAuley (vocals) and Michael Schenker (guitar), a successor (and eventual predecessor) to Schenker's earlier band Michael Schenker Group. McAuley was initially contacted to replace singer Gary Barden in MSG. However, the strong partnership immediately formed between McAuley and Schenker led to the change of the name from Michael Schenker Group to McAuley Schenker Group, retaining the same initials of the previous band MSG.
