Symfonia was a short-lived symphonic power metal supergroup formed in 2010 by vocalist Andre Matos (Viper, Angra, Virgo), guitarist Timo Tolkki (Stratovarius, Revolution Renaissance, Avalon, Allen/Lande, Chaos Magic), bassist Jari Kainulainen (Stratovarius, Masterplan, Evergrey), keyboardist Mikko Härkin (Kenziner, Sonata Arctica, Divinefire, Wingdom, Essence of Sorrow, Mehida, Cain's Offering, Solution .45, Avalon) and drummer Uli Kusch (Holy Moses, Gamma Ray, Axe La Chapelle, Helloween, Roland Grapow, Sinner, Masterplan, Beautiful Sin, Mekong Delta, Ride the Sky). On February 18 of 2011, the band made its debut performance at Finnish Metal Expo. The band released its only album In Paradisum in March 2011.
