Steeler Nashville, TN / Los Angeles, CA, United States Heavy metal, hard rock
Steeler was an early 1980s American heavy metal band originally formed in Nashville, TN by Ron Keel in 1981. Original band members included Ron Keel on vocals and guitar, Michael Dunigan on lead guitar, Bobby Eva on drums and Tim Morrison on bass. In 1982, they released the single "Cold Day in Hell". Eva left the band after a short while and was replaced by drummer Mark Edwards. This line-up did not last long and released no albums or singles. The band was now based in east Los Angeles, CA, living and rehearsing in a large warehouse. In February, 1983, 19-year-old Swedish guitar virtuoso Yngwie Malmsteen completed the new line-up, after Dunigan and Morrison left the band. Rik Fox was now on bass and this classic line-up released the band's first and only album, Steeler. It saw moderate commercial success and is now a sought after album for many fans of Malmsteen and Keel. Malmsteen left soon after the record's completion and joined Graham Bonnett to form Alcatrazz. Future MSG guitarist Mitch Perry (aka. Mitch Brownstein from the band The Kydz) was brought in as his replacement.

Roy Brown Kinder, Louisiana, United States Jump blues, R&B, blues, rock and roll Roy James Brown (September 10, 1920 or 1925 – May 25, 1981) was an American R&B singer, songwriter and musician, who had a significant influence on the early development of rock and roll and the direction of R&B. His original song and hit recording "Good Rocking Tonight" was covered by Wynonie Harris, Elvis Presley, Bruce Springsteen, Ricky Nelson, Jerry Lee Lewis, Pat Boone, James Brown, the Doors, and the rock group Montrose. Brown was the first singer in recording history to sing R&B songs with a gospel-steeped delivery, which was then considered taboo by many churches. In addition, his melismatic, pleading vocal style influenced such notable artists as B.B. King, Bobby Bland, Elvis Presley, Jackie Wilson, James Brown and Little Richard.

G/Z/R is a band led by Black Sabbath bassist/lyricist Geezer Butler. The band has actually been marketed with three different names on the three releases they've had. In 1995, the band was marketed as g//z/r. In 1997, it was merely Geezer, and in 2005, it was G/Z/R. Most fans refer to the band as Geezer, although Butler himself refers to the band name as "gee-zed-R." This incarnation of the band is not to be confused with Geezer's previous attempt in 1985 to form a solo band, then known as The Geezer Butler Band - the two bands are totally separate.

Frameshift began in 2003 as a collaboration between Henning Pauly of Chain and Dream Theater vocalist James LaBrie. Eddie Marvin is credited for drum duties, but any pictures of him in the booklets are in fact depicting Henning Pauly's brother Stephan who does not play drums. Pauly made Eddie Marvin up in order to make it more like a band. In reality, all drums are programmed. For the album "An Absence of Empathy", Frameshift secured the high profile services of Sebastian Bach. This union ultimately resulted in a war of words between Bach and Pauly following the album release as the two disputed songwriting credits.
